Last month's goals went pretty well! I didn't really finish anything, but I made some progress on each goal. Hosting Girls' craft night was postponed due to a certain little cutie miss catching a yucky virus. Luke and I had a fun time looking up museums in Philly, and I think we even picked the one we'll visit. As for the cheesesteaks... not sure we need to plan that part. Cheesesteaks will just happen. I enjoyed mornings more as I tried to figure out a new morning routine. I'm still trying new things but it's a fun process. And finally, I made a little bit of progress on a couple rooms in our apartment. I'd love to share them soon. It was a good month.
Not sure why but October felt kind of long to me. So, November, I'm happy to see you. This month includes our two year wedding anniversary (!!), my sister getting married, tons of family time, and Thanksgiving (yum). Here are my goals for November:
1. Borrow a few commentaries from the library
If I don't plan way ahead for holiday/seasonal decorating, it just doesn't happen. I want to decorate a little earlier this year so I have more time to enjoy those good holiday feelings at home. In fact, I think I'll start a new Pinterest board to brainstorm some ideas... :) (probably not super productive, but fun!)
3. Enjoy quiet mornings with Bekah
Admittedly, this one is a little bit more of an aim than a goal. I'm trying to wait until at least noon each day before checking any social media stuff. Wake up a little earlier, spend time with God, do some writing, get ready for the day, and spend time with my sleepy Bekah... that's the direction I'd like to go.
4. Go on a date with Luke
Life's been a little crazy and I am ready for some focused husband time. We're hoping to our date night this weekend (a million yays!). I love him so much.
So, what are your goals this month?
Love,
Bonnie

ReplyDeleteAwwh, yay! Happy Anniversary month to you and Luke! :) A date night will be so nice! I bet with trying to not check social media before noon will be refreshing when it becomes second nature - love your aim for that.
ReplyDeletehahaha! k. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Summer! Do you have any recommendations for places you and Mike go on dates around here? :) We still have to check out Spring Ford diner... our first date was at a diner so they are always so fun for us to visit together. You're exactly right... it feels like such a reflex to check my phone right away. Thanks for reading, Summer! <3
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary month!!! 💓 Not getting on SM before noon is a really great practice. Way to go! I say that I can turn off SM whenever, but I should make a rule for myself to hold me accountable. So much life happens, and we can miss it - like quiet mornings with baby!
ReplyDeleteI love your goals Bonnie!! I love the idea of decorating more, going on date nights and enjoying your mornings! Can't wait to hear how that goes :) And I wrote a post on my goals too-- if you want to see it, it's here! :) http://simplicityrelished.com/november/
ReplyDeleteLove #3! I want to incorporate that as well. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I hope it works out really well for you. :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. It's been funny (and maybe a little scary - haha) to see how I start scrolling through social media without even realizing what I'm doing. :) It's been a nice change of pace. You are so right. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Daisy! And thanks for sharing your goals with me :) It looks like you're going to have a great November. I hope you are enjoying your classes and learning so much :) Thanks for reading.
