Bekah & Mama Outings No. 1 : The Street Indoor Playground

Recently I was thinking about the different places that I want to take Bekah this summer. As we make these trips together, I'm going to try to share them on my blog as a fun way to record our mama/Bekah dates. Today we went on outing number 1! After Bekah's nap, we went to The Street Indoor Playground. The Street is inside The Intersection Church, one of the church plants connected to our home church. I think it's the coolest use of space EVER for a big church building to have something like this for the community to use.

We arrived around 3pm and we were greeted by some familiar friendly faces. We signed in, took off our shoes and started exploring! Bekah is pretty adventurous so I was pretty sure she'd love it... and she did! I loved that almost all of the flooring was padded so she literally could not get hurt. haha. As a pregnant mama... the padded flooring felt pretty good as I followed her around (and climbed with her :)).

The whole place felt so alive. It wasn't crowded but there was a good amount of families enjoying the space. We ran into a couple friends and met a few new ones. Bekah loved the music. They played a song from her favorite show, Liv and Maddie, and, for a while, she cheered after each song.

We started out in an area meant for younger kids, but pretty soon Bekah was ready for the real deal... the big playground with giant padded steps, a ball pit, and tunnels. I loved experiencing it with her. She had such a sweet smile on her face. I think she was amazed!

We played for an hour before going to pick up Luke from work. The Street is only a 15-20 minute drive from where we live, so I'm hoping to take Bek once or twice a week this summer. I can also see this being a really, really great place for us to spend time together after her baby sister comes in August.

If any local mamas want to get together for a play date - let me know!

And if you have any suggestions for other places that Bekah and I should go this summer... comment! The next place on my list is the Amish Market in Hanover. What are your favorite out of the house activities with your kids?

Love,
Bonnie
