Choosing Bekah's Costume

Since before I can even remember, I have been excited for the day to come when I would have a baby to plan a trick-or-treat costume for. Babies are cute all by themselves, but trick or treat costumes just add to the cuteness. I'm happy to report, the day is finally here! It's time to plan Bekah's trick or treat costume.

We live in a building that has a ton of sweet families and really wonderful kids. This is the second year in a row that we're having trick-or-treat in the building. Of course, Bekah is way too young to eat candy... or walk door to door... or know what trick-or-treat is... but we'll still be hanging out as a family and passing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters.

I decided to do a few drawings of Bekah in different costumes to help me decide what I should make for her this year. And today, I'm sharing them with you... so now you've got to help me decide. :)

Here's option #1...

And option #2... (the kids I babysit helped me pick this one - they thought her reddish-orange hair made this one a good choice)...

Finally, option #3... (and maybe the silliest of them all...)

Luke works for Texas Roadhouse so it would be really cute to give Bekah a mini version of his uniform. He's cute, she's cute... seems like a good fit to me! Now I want to hear from you, which costume would you pick? And just because I love hearing these stories, what was the best trick-or-treat costume you had growing up?

Thanks for enjoying cute stuff with me! :)

Love,
Bonnie

  1. Since her Daddy is a server... I think the Little Waitress is the cutest! You could dress all the same too! :)
Ballerina is a very close second though. ;)

  2. Woah that's cute. You could totally be a server with me like Brooke said! We could be Roadhouse family! I bet I'd get a promotion.

  3. Any way you could do all three of these?! I mean, seriously, so STINKIN' cute! And I love the illustrations! My best trick or treat costume I had growing up was Princess Jasmine! I did ballet as a kiddo so I had a costume from one of my recitals that was identical to hers! I remember feeling so glamorous! :)

  16. I vote for the waitress because it's something that not everyone does. I'm all for being unique! My favorite costume as a kid, (actually, when I was 16), was a mermaid costume and I loved it because my mom, my best friend and I made it together. :-)

  17. I'm not sure! My parents live in the middle of nowhere so there's no place here to do it..I'd have to take her into one of the towns nearby and just go down a street door to door. We could, but it would be more fun if we had someone to go with. Wanna take a trip??! ;)

  18. Haha! I know what you mean. If you were in the NY that is like 2 hours away from us, I would have a hard time passing that up! :) My parents used to take us to do fun things like ice skating or bowling on trick or treat night - our neighborhood was sort of exhausting to walk around so those were fun memories :)

  19. Aw LOVE that is was a group project! I bet you were the prettiest mermaid! :)
I think the waitress one is winning... :)
